Time To Ride.

Register Here On-Line via Eventbrite

Join Us for the 13th Annual Little Cities Tour de Forest Benefit Bicycle Ride on Saturday morning, April 21, 2018 beginning and ending at Hocking College Student Center in Nelsonville.  Various routes take riders through the forested hills of southeastern Ohio on both level and challenging courses.  In its third year, our challenging gravel route has been well received! Included in registration is a Tour de Forest Souvenir of your choice and a “start your ride” Homemade Granola Bar from Fullbrook’s Cafe on Nelsonville’s Historic Public Square.   A hearty complimentary lunch will be served upon return at the Student Center between 11:30am and 3pm.  This is a non-competitive ride that raises funds for the Little Cities of Black Diamonds Council which is committed to gathering, protecting and sharing the heritage, cultural and environmental assets of this boom-to-bust coal-mining region that is now home to the Wayne National Forest.

Once again we are offering group registration which provides a reduced registration rate and special perks!  Again this year riders have access to the Student Recreation Center’s facilities, including showers, pool, climbing wall and disc golf.

Registration for this year’s ride is $30 for adults and $20 for youth (6-17 years).  Registration for groups/teams of 5 or more riders will be $25/rider and $15/rider for youth. Riders can choose from three paved routes of various distances (a 75 mile “metric century” route, a 30 mile “mining town” route or a 20 mile bikeway route), a 54 mile gravel route and a family-friendly and safe “set your own distance” ride on the Adena Hock-Hocking Bikeway, which runs in front of the Student Rec Center.

Non-rider rec passes are available for purchase at the Recenter desk for those who accompany the rider but choose not to ride. This includes the use of the climbing wall, indoor pool, indoor track, and disc golf course. Non-Registered guests can also purchase lunch for $8 the day of the event.

Departure is recommended between 8am and 10am.  Departure times are the choice of the rider and should be calculated to ensure return in time for lunch between 11:30AM and 3pm.
